Mobile Tyre Fitting West Yorkshire
Fast help for flat tyres, punctures and tyre replacements
A flat tyre never turns up at a convenient time. It’s usually the school run, a late shift, or a wet night on the M62. Active Recoveries is a mobile tyre fitter based in Bradford, covering West Yorkshire. We bring the tyre, the tools and the know-how to wherever you’ve stopped. You don’t need to limp to a garage, wait for a tow, or lose half a day.
What Is Mobile Tyre Fitting?
Mobile tyre fitting means a trained fitter travels to you in a fully equipped van and does the job on the spot. That could be your driveway, your workplace car park, a supermarket, or the roadside.
It’s a good fit when:
- you’ve got a flat or a burst tyre and don’t want to drive on it
- a slow puncture keeps coming back
- you’ve found a bulge or sidewall damage and can’t afford to wait
- You’d rather have new tyres fitted at home than sit in a garage waiting room
Our Mobile Tyre Services in West Yorkshire
Emergency Mobile Tyre Service & Call-Outs
Stuck with a blowout, sudden pressure loss or kerb damage? Our emergency tyre call-outs treat every case as urgent. Call us, share your location, and we’ll work out the quickest way to reach you and get you moving safely again.
Flat Tyre Assistance and Flat Tyre Repair
Not every flat means a new tyre. Our flat tyre assistance begins with an honest, careful inspection at your location. If the damage is repairable, we’ll say so plainly; if it isn’t, you’ll hear that first, before any work starts.
Mobile Tyre Puncture Repair
A nail or screw in the central tread can often be fixed on the spot. Sidewall damage, large cuts and tyres driven on while flat usually can’t be repaired safely, so we’ll recommend a replacement instead, because safety comes first.
Fitting Tyres
(New Tyre Replacement)
Need fitting tyres for a worn or damaged set? We supply and fit replacements for cars, vans and 4x4s. Share your tyre size from the sidewall, such as 205/55 R16, or your registration, and we’ll help you match it exactly.
Same Day Mobile Tyre Fitting
Where stock and availability allow, we can arrange same day mobile tyre fitting for planned replacements as well as emergencies. Call early in the day for the best possible chance of securing a slot that suits you and your schedule.
Spare Wheel Fitting and Locking Wheel Nut Help
Have a spare wheel but can’t get the wheel off, or lost your locking wheel nut key? Tell us when you call and we’ll explain what we can do on site and whether any extra time or equipment is needed.

Back on the road. If your vehicle needs recovery instead, we can arrange that too.
Repair or Replace? How We Decide
A repair is usually possible when:
- The puncture is a small nail or screw hole in the central tread area
- The tyre hasn’t been driven on while flat for any distance
- There is no sidewall damage, bulge or cut
- The tread is above the legal minimum
You’ll usually need a replacement when:
- The damage is on the sidewall or the shoulder of the tyre
- The tyre has split, blown out or been run flat for too long
- The tread is below the legal limit (1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre)
- It’s a run-flat tyre where the manufacturer advises against repair
We’ll always tell you straight which one applies. We won’t sell you a new tyre if a safe repair will do the job.
Flat Tyre? What to Do Right Now
These steps can keep you safe while you wait for help:
- Ease off gradually. Don’t brake hard or swerve.
- Switch your hazard lights on and move somewhere safe and flat: a car park, a side street or a layby.
- On a motorway, pull onto the hard shoulder or an emergency refuge area if you can. Leave the vehicle by the left-hand door and wait behind the barrier, well away from traffic. Never try to change a wheel on the hard shoulder.
- Don’t keep driving on a flat tyre. It can wreck the tyre beyond repair and damage the wheel.
- Call us and have ready your exact location, vehicle type, and tyre size if you know it.

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on where you are, the time of day and traffic. When you call, we’ll give you an honest arrival estimate rather than a number we can’t keep. Motorway call-outs and peak-hour traffic in Leeds and Bradford can take longer.
We’re based in Bradford and cover the wider West Yorkshire area. Call with your postcode and we’ll confirm whether we can reach you.
Many punctures in the central part of the tread can be repaired safely on the spot. Sidewall damage, large cuts and tyres driven on while flat usually can’t be repaired, and we’ll tell you if replacement is the only safe option.
Yes, subject to the vehicle being accessible and having safe, level access to the wheel. This is useful if you’d rather not take time off work for a garage visit.
Your location (postcode or nearest junction), the make and model of your vehicle, and what’s happened. If you know your tyre size, it’s printed on the sidewall as something like 205/55 R16. If you don’t, we can usually help you find it.
Move to the hard shoulder or an emergency refuge area if you safely can. Put your hazards on, leave via the left-hand door and wait behind the barrier. Then call for help. Never attempt to change the wheel yourself next to live traffic.
